Some troubleshootings for Hardware

Could not connect to network 

 
1. For your problem, please enter "Device Manager" to check whether the Network adapters is normal.
.
2. Please check whether the "Local Area Connection" is normal..

3. Please uninstall the LAN driver and then re-install it. When you install the driver, please do not install "NVIDIA FORCEWARE NETWORK ACCESS MANAGER".
.
4. If possible, please change the network condition to have a test or you could use a LAN card to test again if possible.
 

 
Blue screen 

 
1. Could you please help check the blue screen code? you could find the information after " STOP " on the blue screen and then you can find the relative information on the Microsoft website with the blue screen code or tell us the blue screen code.

2. How often does it happen?

3. Please take out the peripherals and then test with only one memory in the clear OS.

4. According to some memory manufacturers website, some memory need higher voltage than standard. So, please refer to the memory manual and adjust the memory voltage manually to have a test.

5. If convenience, please change the PSU to test again.

6. You could also update the newest BIOS to have a try.
 

 
Motherboard failed to boot up 
 

 
1. Please clear CMOS.

2. Please take out your memory cards and video card, try to clean their golden connectors with a rubber, then reseat them back.

3. Please take the CPU cooler out, add some thermal paste to the CPU surface, then reseat the cooler back and keep the cooler tightly installed.

4. Please keep the necessary components(CPU, one memory) onboard for a test.

Finally, we would recommend you to replace a BIOS battery to have a test.
 

 
System freezes. 
 

 
Could you please tell me when the problem arise? And what’s exchanges have you done to your PC?
You can try below steps:
1. Uninstall the new software you have installed recently.

2. Unplug the new hardware you have installed.

3. Please take the cpu cooler out, add some thermal paste to the CPU surface, then reseat the cooler back and keep the cooler tightly installed.

4. Please clear CMOS by:

a) Cut the power supply for whole system and open your case;
b) Take out the Cmos battery from the battery socket;
c) Install your battery with "reverse side" that means turn the battery 180 degree and put into battery socket;
d) Hold about 30 seconds, then take out the battery and install it normally;
e) Plug the power cord and Power on.
 

 
Failed to burn CD or DVD 
 

 
1. Please update nero7 to Current version for a test, you can download it from the link as follow:
http://www.nero.com/nero7/chs/nero7-up.php Before updating,please install bundling Nero 7 ESSENTIALS,then install the update software.

2. We recommend you to replace another brand disk for tests. For example, Mitsubishi, Verbatim and TDK disk(standard version) have good performance from customer's feedbacks.
 

 
Failed to lightscribe 
 

 
1. If you use Windows Vista, please update lightscribe function to support Vista at:
http://www.lightscribe.com/DownloadSection/windows/index.aspx

Also, please operate the lightscribe as per the manual of lightscribe.

2. A lightscribe diagnostic utility which called LsDiagnosticUtility_1.4.136.1.exe can help to find out the cause of failed to lightscribe. 3. Please replace another brand of lightscribe disk for a test.For example, Mitsubishi, Verbatim and TDK disk(standard version) have good performance from customer's feedbacks.
 

 
Can't update optical storage firmware 
 

 
Please follow the procedure below:

1. Some confusion in operation system could lead to failture of update. Please re-install a pure Windows and update firmware without other softwares installed for a test.

2. Please do not connect DRW-2014L1T/DRW-1814BLT to a SATA port which is under RAID mode.(this item is optional when the DRW is SATA interface)

3. If above steps are not effective, please try to transfer the DRW to another PC for a test if you are in convenience.
 

 
Update BIOS to improve hardware support 
 

 
In this situation, please try the latest BIOS. We recommend you to use AFUDOS to update BIOS. You need to unzip it to get the ROM file.

You should use the command as follows:

AFUDOS /i[biosname]

or, afudos /i A:\BIOSNAME.rom(if the BIOS file is in the floppy disk)

You can store your BIOS into a floppy disk or a hard disk with FAT format. Then, you will be able to use AFUDOS to access the BIOS ROM file.

If it is not convenient for you to use DOS and AFUDOS, you can try to use EZ Flash. You can save the BIOS file into a flash disk then boot the system and enter BIOS, then you can update your BIOS by EZ Flash which is in the BIOS Tools page. Please load the default settings in BIOS after you have succeeded updating BIOS.
 

 
Memory can't run at certain frequency 
 

 
In this situation, please try to configure the latency of your RAM to larger values, such as CL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, and try to add more voltage to your memory carefully according to the voltage recommended by the manufacturer.

Then, please check if your memory supports Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP) feature. If yes, basically, this problem is caused by the EPP function of your memory. Therefore you might have to run your memory at a lower performance.

If you still have the problem, please try to change another memory for a try. This problem could also caused by incompatible memory. <o
